U8 – FUNdamentals
Athletes born in 2018 & 2019
Where Little Skiers become big mountain adventurers
For kids who love to ski and are ready for more adventure!
Our U8 program is all about building confidence, balance, and a love for skiing through games, skill development, and plenty of laughter on snow. Athletes learn strong fundamentals—like turning, controlling speed, and skiing varied terrain—while enjoying a supportive team environment.
This twelve-week program begins January 3/4 and runs through March 21/22, 2026. Skiers must be able to ride the chairlift and ski independently.

2-day (Saturday & Sunday)

Optional Friday add-on training may be available.
A Typical Day:
9:20 – Meet in front of lodge
11:30 – Lunch with family (unsupervised) 12:25 – Afternoon fun on snow
2:30 – Pick-up at lodge

U10 – Learn to Train
Athletes born in 2016 & 2017
Discover the Thrill of racing – fun first, fast second!
For young skiers who are ready to take their skiing to the next level!
The U10 program introduces athletes to the excitement of ski racing through skill-based challenges, fun drills, and games. Kids will start exploring gates and courses in a playful, encouraging environment— building agility, confidence, and teamwork along the way.
This twelve-week program begins January 3/4 and runs through March 21/22, 2026. Skiers must already know how to ski independently and ride the lifts.

🌟 STRIVE Level: Learn to Train – Developing strong skills while keeping the fun front and center.
U12 – Train to Train
Athletes born in 2014 & 2015
Sharpen your skills, race with friends and chase the finish line
For athletes ready to push skills and start racing with purpose.
The U12 program builds on technical skiing skills while introducing athletes to more structured race training. Through drills, course training, and guided free skiing, kids sharpen their technique and learn to compete in a supportive, team-focused environment. Video review, mental training, and debrief sessions build a well-rounded athlete experience.
This twelve-week program runs January 3/4 to March 21/22, 2026.

2-day (Saturday & Sunday)
1-day (Saturday or Sunday)
Optional Friday add on training available for 1 and 2 day athletes
A Typical Day:
8:45 – Meet by finish shack for on-snow warm-up
11:30 – Lunch with family (unsupervised)
12:25 – Afternoon training
2:30 – On-snow ends; debrief, video & mental training (for 2-day & 3-day athletes until 3:00)
🌟 STRIVE Level: Train to Train – Building strong race habits and developing resilience, focus, and teamwork.
Senior Team – Train to Race (U14, U16, U18)
Athletes born in 2012 and earlier
Train like a racer, compete like a champion
For athletes ages 12–17 aiming to train, compete, and excel in ski racing.
Our Senior Team programs provide structured, high-performance coaching for athletes with competitive goals. Whether you want to train locally or travel to regional/national races, WSRC has a pathway to match your ambitions.
*NEW for 2025/2026 We will have two streams for our senior team - Development and High Performance. WSRC development team is our home team, shorter training hours, no travel required, compete in races at WSRC (optional). The High Performance stream is for athletes looking for a higher level of competition and ready to travel throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond. Please note, in order to offer the development stream we do require a minimum number of athletes to register.
Programs begin January 2/3 and run through March 21/22, 2026. High Performance athletes could qualify for competition opportunities later than March 21/22 (ie. CanAms, Easterns, etc).
Two Streams to Choose from:
U14/U16 ST Development Team (2-day, Sat & Sun): Train with the team, race at Ski Wentworth, no travel required.
U14/U16 ST High Performance Team (2-day or 3-day): Regional and national race opportunities, with advanced technical & tactical training.
U18 ST High Performance Team (2-day or 3-day): Regional and national race circuit preparation with intensive training.

A Typical ST Development Team training Day:
9:15 – On-Snow warm up at base of hill
9:30-11:30 - Training with Development Team Coach & athletes 11:30 – Lunch with family (unsupervised)
12:30-2:30 - Training with Development Team Coach & athletes
*Note: There will some indoor video sessions and we will make every effort to keep them within the listed program hours
A Typical High Performance training Day:
7:30 – Meet in shack to prep for day
11:30 – Lunch with family (unsupervised)
12:25 – Afternoon training
4:00 – End for day after on snow and video debriefin
🌟 STRIVE Level: Train to Race – Advanced technical, tactical, and competition skills to prepare athletes for higher-level performance.
